How to get to Oakhaven.

From Durban / Pietermaritzburg
  1. Take the N3 from Durban towards Pietermaritzburg
  2. Drive through Pietermaritzburg and take the turn-off to Howick South / Bulwer / Underberg (R617)
  3. Follow the R617 through Bulwer all the way to Underberg village
  4. Drive through Underberg and turn into Pin Oak Lane, which will be on your left-hand side when exiting town
  5. Oakhaven is number 5
From Johannesburg
  1. Take the N3 south towards Durban
  2. Continue past Harrismith and Mooi River
  3. Look out for the Howick South / Bulwer / Underberg (R617) turn-off and take that road
  4. Follow the R617 through Bulwer all the way to Underberg village
  5. Drive through Underberg and turn into Pin Oak Lane, which will be on your left-hand side when exiting town
  6. Oakhaven is number 5
Tip: Once you're on the R617 from Bulwer the drive through the foothills is beautiful — rolling farmland, river crossings and the first views of the Drakensberg. Allow a little extra time to enjoy it. Signal can be patchy once you leave the main road — download Google Maps offline before you leave.
